I recently heard that Costa Rica has opened its doors for Medical Tourism. Well - that is good news - will it be difficult to get a visa to Costa Rica? I would like to go there as Tourist and explore the possibilities of getting a blepharoplasty done. I want to go there only on a tourist visa and go in for cosmetic surgery only if I find the services satisfactory or good. Bidar, you will get a tourist visa for Costa Rica. In the visa form, you can mention that you are going for medical tourism purposes and attach your hospital/doctor letter of intent.

Nationals of Austria, Belgium, Canada, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, UK and USA- No need to take visa if the stay is upto 90 days.


Nationals of Australia, Estonia, Ireland and Slovak Republic- No need to take visa if stay is upto 30 days.

Hi, For medical treatment it would be fine to get it cheap, but before opting for any procedure, make sure that it a reputed hospital and qualified doctors. When going to a new country it is always advisable to be careful. Always check if the hospitals have accreditatiion, which is one of the ways to ensure good standards.
