Yes. The following tests are done - FT3, FT4, TSH, TPO, TGAB, to test your thyroid hormone levels. They are all blood tests and all that you have to do is to give blood once - about 5 ml of it.

I guess Sham is asking for cheaper countries to get this done. I know that it costs around $ 50.00 to $75.00 at the most in India, my wife had the tests done when we were on vacation last year. Infact she had a complete health check-up, and it did not cost us as much as it would in France.

I dont think anyone will come to India for only thyroid examination. If you factor in the cost of airline tickets and accomodation stay, then it is useless to come to India for tests.
Yes, story changes if someone is coming to India or any medical tourist country for proper thyroid treatment. Sham, can you clarify in which country you want to undertake thyroid tests?
Thanks.

Yes any lab in any country could perform these tests and once you get the test results - depending upon the diagnosis - you could be hyperthyroid or hypothyroid or you could be perfectly normal - like I said depending upon the diagnosis even the treatment cost would be far cheaper in your own country compared to going over to another country for this specific purpose. It is merely a hormonal imbalance that could be corrected by taking in pills or injections regularly to get back to normal.
