Alzheimer’s disease -diagnosed in advance 8 Months ago Karma: 0
In my family – elderly people like my grand mother, grand aunt etc had Alzheimer’s disease when they where old….. I happened to read an article about Alzheimer’s disease recently where they have stated that the disease is hereditary in most cases.
Now I am worried ….sometimes I tend to forget things like name of people, Place where I have kept things etc….. Is it the first symptoms……I am suffering….!. Is there any test where this disease can be ?
... ...........

Diagnosis is done by a series of tests that include examination of previous medical history, physical examination, neuropsychological testing and brain scan. There are a number of sites that offer help for alzheimer. You can browse then to know more

Hi Joe_joe,

Do not get so worried. It will be of no help. If you think you are getting it, go to your family doctor, and let him know, and tell him about the family history, if he does not know. You cannot change what happens, but you can find out for sure, and take steps to manage it at the onset. So take heart, and tell a family member or close friend about your fears, and ask for moral support when going to the doctor etc.
