Hi, It depends on which are the missing teeth. If it is the 'wisdom' teeth it is not a problem unless it is impacted. If you are feeling uneasy, you can visit your dentist and get your questions answered. That would be better than walking around thinking "why do I have only 28 teeth?"

I was wondering why you asked such a question too, now you have explained it due to lack of wisdom. There is no way one can answer such questions except generalise, since there are no details about which teeth are missiong, or if there is any problem with the jaw, etc.
So, as suggested, the best recourse is to visit a doctor. (Which is the best option anyway.)

As a matter of fact the four wisdom teeth are what the medical professionals term as 'rudimentary' teeth. In the sense they are of no use to us - and during the course of evolution maybe it may gradually stop developing. But I really wonder if you have evolved to that great an extent - you must be a medical marvel!!! But jokes apart - it is a rare phenomenon - it is like being born without a digit in the hands or legs - or maybe you had had some of your teeth extracted when you were young and just don't remember it???
