Looks like I'm a little behind time in replying, but nevertheless, felt that I would like to add my opinion to this conversation
Personally, I would be staying away from SSRIs - whilst medications from the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) class are used normally as antidepressants in the clinical setting, these have been found to have, as a side effect, a tendency to cause both male and female patients to experience a significant delay in reaching orgasm. For this reason, medications with SSRI side effects have been used in men who experience premature ejaculation.
However, BBC News reported in September that US scientists say antidepressants that are taken by millions of men to alleviate depression containing SSRIs may affect their fertility. It continued on to say
QUOTE:
A small number of healthy men given the antidepressant paroxetine for four weeks had far higher levels of sperm with damaged DNA.
It is important to note that no drug is approved by the FDA for the treatment of premature ejaculation.
My advice is to try the Start & Stop method as this has been found to be very successful in treating PE problems.
Feel free to email me personally if you have any questions as I'm happy to help. I, too, used to suffer PE however, I have successfully combat the problem.
Cheers
