Due to allergy, my doctor has recommended allegra 180 to be taken one dose daily...will that be fine?

Second guessing your doctor is not advisable. On the net one does not have the direct contact that the doctor has with you, nor the knowledge of your condition except "allergy". If you do not trust your doctor, a visit to another doctor is the best strategy for a second opinion about the medicine you have been prescribed.

You should have more faith in your doctor than on people who may not know enough to advice you. While a forum like this does try to help and guide health and medical tourism queries, there could always be a certain amount of ambiguity in the answers you may get for none of the people who answer you could know your medical history and no one has examined your health condition!

Allegra 180 is fine but with life long side effects. The reason it is effective because it supresses the allergy- So everyday you have to supress your allergy..It does not treat it.

It is better you go for german homeopathic medicines or ayurvedic medicines.
