Occurence of Spondylitis 9 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0  
Why does this occur? Could it in any way be prevented? I am concerned because both my parents suffer from this and I want to try and avoid getting it. Is there anyway my parents could be completely cured?

The causes of spondylitis :
* Osteoarthritis - can affect the spine
* Arthritis - various types of arthritis
* Rheumatoid Arthritis
* Ankylosing Spondylitis
* Spinal injury
* Spinal infection
* Tuberculosis
* Other types of Spondylitis
It is not necessary that you should get it because your parents have it. There is no reliable treatment for curing it completely. It can only be managed at present.
