Best Medical Facilities 6 Months, 2 Weeks ago

The question often arises, which is the best hospital I can go to, especially for a foreigner trying to get treatment abroad. Would it not be possible to have a listing for each country, like the forums in this website, listing the best hospitals by rank. At first the ranking can be arbitrary, and then they can be revised according to the feedback received? Would it not be helpful?

Hi,
You suggestion is vailid but you cannot rank hospitals as some hospitals may be good for one treatment and for other it may be not. Every hospital has there specialized department which has excellence over every other hospitals.

The suggestion has its merits, true, some hospitals may be better than others for certain treatments, while not as good for other treatments. In the current state of advanced database management, it would be very easy to rank hospitals by specific procedures, treatments, departments etc. This would be better for the patient who is looking for the best hospital to get a particular treatment. Remains only the problem of a reliable organization to do the ranking and publish it. But these days who would do it without a profit motive?
