Road trip from Mumbai to Goa via Poona 3 Weeks, 6 Days ago

Hi:
We are planning to trip to Bharat in Dec 2009.
We want to rent a car (with driver and a/c) from Mumbai and travel to Matheran, Poona, Mahabaleswar, Goa and back.
We have about 6 days for this.
Is this too hectic? What would be the weather like in that region?
Would appreciate your response.

Weather will be great and the best weather to visit these places in Dec. In fact i will recomend you to do advnce booking of your hotel in Goa because it is a top holiday season there.
No its not too hectic but you will only get 1-2 days at each place because you are going through car which takes more time then plane.

Hello, you are in for a fantastic trip. The part from Mumbai to Pune (new name) is through some mountains, and there are places like Khandala and Lonavla, that a simply great to spend a few days. I was not going beyond Pune, but I ended up spending a lot more time in the mountains than I had planned.
