Well i am due to visit thailand since dec 2008 but due to political problems, i have kept this trip pending..please advise what is the current political situation in thailand?

Yes it is absolutely safe to visit Thailand now - while there could be some political unrest - tourists are safe.

There were some protests there as there are in many countries, it is mainly against the policies of the Govt. Tourism is an important part of the economy, and tourists were never in trouble or targetted.

No Thailand is a safe country ... there can be internally problems in the country but overall it is safe for tourists ... so have a great trip....

Yes it is a safe country..there was a problem last year in dec 2008 but now its solved due to PM efforts..it is a safe country..they cant afford the violence because thailand is very much dependent on tousirm to generate revenues.

Visit without any tension and enjoy !
