My kid is suffering from indigestion after eating chinese food and and have a fever of 102 C...is fever because of indigestion?

Yes it is because of indigestion. Indigestion has caused body temp to increase, so you need to give the medicine to treat indigestion and not the flu. Once indigestion/stomach gets fine, fever will automatically vanish.

As such indigestion should not be causing fever - the body temperature rises when the body is fighting an infection and the count of antibodies that fight off this infection increases. There may be an underlying infection which could not only be the cause for the rise in temperature but also the cause for indigestion - I suggest the patient undergo blood tests or other diagnostic tests - do consult a doctor asap.
