Who Are the People behind Healism.com? 

We are a community of travel writers, physicians, journalists, nurses, researchers, hospital administrators, business professionals, hospitality managers, IT consultants, tourism experts, and former medical tourism patients who are dedicated to providing the world with a free and comprehensive medical tourism resource.  With representatives on six continents, we have spent the last several years researching the health care systems in some of the world's most popular medical tourism destinations.  When we realized that affordable and reliable health care was becoming increasingly unattainable in many parts of the world, we decided to create an online platform where people like you could find information, share experiences, and ask questions.

You'll notice that some parts of this Web site are slightly underdeveloped, but rest assured that Healism.com is a work in progress.  Every day, we write more content, include more information, and add more countries and facilities.  We try to keep this site as current and up-to-date as possible, but if you see opportunities for us to expand, please don't be shy.  We eagerly accept all suggestions and recommendations.  This is as much your site as it is ours.  Together, we can bring greater health care opportunities to the millions of people around the world who have insufficient coverage, access, or information.
