  • Affordable Infertility Treatments: Available in India

The frustration of being unable to conceive is often compounded by the cost of fertility treatments.  Advances in medical science and technology have only worsened matters since much more technical expertise is required to conduct the procedures and tests.  While childbirth is indeed priceless, few can afford the exorbitant costs associated with fertility treatments in many parts of the world.

Overview

Poland’s tragic history has been etched in the country’s landscape in the form of old towns, museums, and the relics of concentration camps.  But reminders of man’s cruelty to man are not the only attractions that this huge country offers the medical tourism traveler.  There are beautiful green mountains full of native fauna, the beach resort of Gdansk with its large Gothic church, the Masurian lakes, the castles in Nidzica and Gizycko, and the snowy peaks of the Tatra Mountains.

Warsaw

Poland’s cultural capital is dotted with monuments to the human spirit.  The Warsaw Uprising Museum commemorates the city's revolt against their Nazi occupiers.  The uprising was unsuccessful, and at its end, Hitler was so incensed that he ordered the city be wiped out.  Nazi officers prepared a list of the most important buildings in Warsaw and began blowing them up one by one.  The museum captures the events leading up to the uprising, right through the German retreat.

The Jewish Historical Institute includes a museum and library, as well as some of the most extensive holocaust archives in existence.

Chopin’s monument commemorates the life of one of the city’s most famous sons. The Germans destroyed much of the monument in 1940, and today, a plaster version of the original structure pays tribute to the composer.

Bieszczady Mountains

Located in the southeastern region of the country, these mountains lure hikers, trekkers, and medical tourism travelers to its beautiful alpine meadows.  The Bieszczady National Park protects some of the most beautiful regions in the mountains and provides shelter for wolves, brown bears, and other local inhabitants.

Gdansk

This port city boasts of several world class museums, an opera house, and many lavish churches.  The Gothic church, one of the largest in the world, the Church of St. Catherine, and the Church of St. James are just some of the most visited cathedrals in this 1000-year old-city.

Auschwitz-Birkenau

A visit to the largest of the Nazi death camps leaves the medical tourism visitor with somber thoughts that can last a lifetime.  The Auschwitz I camp grounds are where the first Zyklon B experiments were carried out, while the Auschwitz II-Birkenau camp was the site of the extermination of one million Jews, Poles, and Gypsies.  Today, the site of such destruction is a point of pilgrimage for Jews, a lesson in history for children on school excursions, and a sobering place to reflect for the tens of thousands of tourists who visit daily.
