Hotels in Warsaw

Overview

Warsaw welcomed close to 5 million visitors last year.  Due to its position as the economic and cultural capital of a newly emerging Poland, the city sees a good mix of business travelers, holidaymakers, and cultural sojourners from all over the world.  These are joined by politicians from across Europe, artists drawn by the vibrant art scene in the city, academicians, and scientists.  Besides, there are a growing number of medical tourism travelers who arrive to seek treatment at some of the city’s sophisticated medical facilities.  Because of this diverse group of visitors, ranging from eastern businessmen to western European holiday makers and medical tourism vacationers, there is a range of accommodations to suit all tastes and budgets.

Luxury hotels

Room rates here can be incredibly expensive, even by luxury standards.  In keeping with its status as an emerging economic hub, there is a plethora of 4 and 5 star properties that are geared towards the corporate traveler.  You will find most of these in the Srodmiescie area, housed inside glass and granite skyscrapers.  Facilities across luxury hotels remain consistent in quality and the type of amenities they offer.  For a good deal on your medical tourism vacation, make sure you book your room well in advance.

Moderate Range Hotels

Warsaw has a depressing shortage of 2 and 3-star hotels.  Many mid-range accommodations are located on the main highways that link the city with others.  Rooms in these suburban hotels come with all amenities, although you will still be located a good distance away from the center of town.  This is not to say that you can't find good deals in town, but it will take extra homework on your part.

Budget Hotels

As far as low priced accommodations go, family run properties, bed and breakfasts, and rental apartments are your best bet.  Rooms in low budget digs are austere, but can include a TV, and if you are lucky, even a mini-fridge and kitchenette.
