Despite its relative isolation from the mainland, the country boasts of an incredibly vibrant night life. Most tourists prefer to do the Thailand-Singapore-Malaysia circuit to get a taste of Asian exotica. This has left the Philippines with less tourist traffic, and consequently, more affordable accommodations, cheaper transport, and fine dining options that won’t burn a hole in your pocket.

For the hard core party animal, the Philippines has a great choice of bars, nightclubs, and pubs. The most popular spots are to be found in Manila, Makati, Boracay, and Cebu. If you are in the mood for wild fun by the surf, the beach towns are where you should be headed. The party scene at Cebu, a popular destination with locals and tourists alike, is legendary and will impress the most jaded partiers. While in Cebu, try and catch a Cebuano music recital which is accompanied by a Sinulog ritual, an ethnic dance form. Other beach towns have their own attractions, including the much hyped rave parties which continue till well past dawn. Visitors get a dose of Filipino hospitality and romance sitting on pristine white beaches under beautiful star spangled skies.
