Affordable Infertility Treatments: Available in India
The frustration of being unable to conceive is often compounded by the cost of fertility treatments. Advances in medical science and technology have only worsened matters since much more technical expertise is required to conduct the procedures and tests. While childbirth is indeed priceless, few can afford the exorbitant costs associated with fertility treatments in many parts of the world.Â
This is one reason why many are flocking to…
Shopping in Mexico City, like everything else about the Eternal City of Contrasts, is an exciting and varied experience. You can find large air conditioned malls, tiny out- of-the-way curio stores, sophisticated antique galleries, noisy produce markets, high fashion boutiques, and street side stalls. You’ll run out of money before you run out of treasures to buy.Â
Markets
As the name suggests, the Bazaar de Sabado is open for business only on Saturdays in one of the city’s finest residential neighborhoods. The courtyard doubles as a cafe where you can sip coffee and munch tacos in between shopping sprees. The rooms around are stacked with all kinds of treasures – pottery, ceramics, fine jewelry, and clothing. Prices are a bit steep by the usual “market” standards in this medical tourism destination, but the variety of products on offer is extensive, and the quality is usually top notch. Â
The Centro Historico is where you’ll find everything from watches and jewelry to foods and fresh produce, all at cheap rates. The atmosphere can be a little overwhelming and chaotic, but it is all part of the quintessential Mexican experience.Â
Luxury Boutiques
Locals refer to Polanco’s Masaryk Avenue as the Rodeo Drive of this medical tourism center. One look around at the glittering signboards featuring some of the best known names in international couture and luxury, and you’ll see why. AltaVista Street is also home to fine jewelry and silverware boutiques, where the prices are steep, but the quality is unbeatable.Â
Best Buys
No shopping spree would be complete without at least a few pieces of authentic Talavera ceramic works and pottery. In addition, the country’s splendid tradition of indigenous arts and crafts means that there is a wealth of colorful and richly embroidered shawls and stoles that are on display everywhere, from roadside stalls to up market boutiques. These make great wall hangings and even table covers. And if you like silver, Mexico City abounds with jewelry stores offering silverware, jewelry, and objects de art made of the sterling metal.
