Overview
Besides being a thriving medical tourism center, Tel Aviv also happens to be the business capital of the country and one of the biggest holiday destinations in the region. As a result, countless vacationers, business travelers, and medical tourism patients arrive everyday, all year round. Not surprisingly, you’ll find a wide variety of accommodation options that range from the extravagant to the modest. Â
Budget Accommodations
The city’s apartment-style hotels – rooms with small kitchenettes - offer an inexpensive way to live in the heart of the city without paying five star prices. These are ideal if you plan to stay for longer medical tourism stays. They’re better than hostels since you enjoy greater privacy (and security). Â
Moderately Priced Hotels
For the medical tourism traveler looking for additional comforts, there is a selection of boutique hotels close to the beachfront promenade. Boutique hotels are either 3 or 4-star facilities, and they may or may not include a pool. Rates start around $60, but you can sometimes secure discounted rates if you extend your stay.Â
Luxury Hotels
If you’d like your hotel room to come with all the bells and whistles, check into one of the many luxury properties along the northern and southern ends of the beachfront promenade. You’ll be close to all the shopping avenues, cafés, and nightclubbing hotspots of Dizengoff Street. If you want to do nothing but soak up some sun, the beach is just a hop and a skip away. Just be sure to get your doctor’s permission before you go snorkeling and sunbathing in the area.
