Overview
Given the natural rhythm of the Habaneros and their infectious enthusiasm in the face of troubles, it’s no surprise that Havana has some of the most exciting night life experiences in this part of the world.  The mingling of cultures from Europe, Latin America, and Africa have birthed a variety of musical styles, and Cuba’s capital offers the medical tourism visitor a selection of venues where he can sample this fusion of music.  Besides dance clubs, there are world famous music and dance shows, a thriving ballet scene, theater performances, and traditional music and entertainment options.
Cabaret
Locals like to refer to their city as Cuba’s Las Vegas, and it’s not hard to see why.  You’ll find spectacular cabaret shows every night of the week here.  Some of Havana’s live music and dance performances are renowned the world over and feature retro-style music and dancers dressed in strategically placed feathers, sequins, and not much else.  Tickets to these extravaganzas can be booked through your hotel desk, although the prices tend to be on the higher side.
Salsa Clubs
Cuban salsa is one of the country’s most popular exports, besides cigars, and the country’s most renowned salsa bands perform regularly at the top clubs in town.  Havana is also the place to head to if you want to pick up some nifty dance moves on your medical tourism trip to impress friends back home.  Even if you aren’t brave enough to try the sensuous moves, watching Habaneros brazenly strut their stuff is an experience by itself.  Remember that the action at a salsa club doesn’t begin before 10 pm, and the dancing can continue till early morning.
Ballet and Theater
The Cuban National Ballet has been garnering rave reviews on the international scene for several years now.  Check for local performances during your medical tourism trip to Havana.  There are also live performances by Cuban, as well as foreign theater companies. Your hotel desk is the right source for times, prices, and other details.Â
