The emirate of Dubai is the commercial capital of the United Arab Emirates, a tiny country in the Persian Gulf.  Over the last couple of decades, Dubai has positioned itself not only as the premier medical tourism destination in the region, but it has also managed to establish a reputation for itself as the playground of the Middle East.  Cosmetic surgery, dental treatment and other medical procedure prices may not as be as low as in other medical tourism destinations, but they are still far cheaper than those in the US.  Plus, Dubai is home to a sizable American community, which has led to the setting up of high quality health care facilities with US-certified staff.
