For medical value travel, Bangkok is the top choice for many.  With over 400 hospitals and clinics offering medical packages, Thailand has also cornered the dental tourism market as well.  Bangkok, Thailand's capital city, along with Phuket, has a growing reputation for medical value travel.  But despite aggressive marketing campaigns, most foreigners learn about Thailand from relatives and friends who have treatment in Thailand, or they found it on the Internet.  Dr. Watchareewon Porncharoen posted information on the Web when she founded her dental spa a year before.  "A lot of my customers heard [about Thailand] from friends or relatives, but there were others who learnt about us from the internet," she said. Mrs. deMarchi chose to fly from Sydney, with an overnight stop in Bangkok, for a dental check-up.  She arranged an appointment at the Bangkok Dental Spa Clinic through one of the medical packages Thailand offers.  "I came here because the clinic and Thai dentists are famous in Sydney. People back home are talking a lot about coming to Thailand for dental treatment," she said.  "More than that I can get everything at half the price I would be required to pay in Sydney. The service and expertise of doctors are of the same standard. I can't be happier."
