Dayanara Promotes Medical Tourism

Dayanara Torres, the 1993 Miss Universe and ex-wife of singer Marc Anthony, is the new celebrity promoter for medical tourism destination, Beverly Hills 6750, a surgical center in Makati City, Philippines. The center specializes in plastic surgery and is affiliated with the California medical center, Beverly Hills Institute. Travelers looking for information about the cost of laser hair removal or special deals on plastic surgery cost should investigate Beverly Hills 6750 based on Torres’s endorsement. At least that is the hope of Michael Defensor, Philippine Presidential Chief of Staff. Defensor believes that an international celebrity such as Torres will ignite medical tourism interest in the Philippines.
Medical Tourism Targets the Asian Market
The medical director of Beverly Hills 6750, Eduardo Santos, states that Torres was hired as a medical tourism spokesperson for the center to draw a target market from Korea, China, and Japan. The cost of laser hair removal and plastic surgery cost are low despite having technology that is “comparable with the region's best,” according to Santos. The top destination for the region is currently Thailand, but Santos believes that will soon change to the Philippines. The center’s staff of medical specialists will be able to provide the most current technology while keeping the cost of laser hair removal and plastic surgery at an advantageous price. The celebrity endorsement by Torres of Beverly Hills 6750 can also be viewed as an endorsement of the Philippines as “a hub of wellness and rejuvenation,” Defensor believes. Torres started her campaign to promote lower plastic surgery costs at the Beverly Hills 6750 center by a visit to the Philippines in November. After the Philippines, Torres is expected to tour Asian to promote the center.
