  • Turkey Becoming Synonymous with Saving Money

Shortages in affordable health care are driving dental patients overseas, where bedside manners, optimal technology solutions, and rock-bottom prices await.  In addition to the low cost and high quality of highly sought after dental procedures like laser teeth whitening, patients find short lines and top quality in places like Turkey, one of Europe’s top dental tourism destinations.

Overview

Cheap Hotels

Kuala Lumpur offers medical tourism visitors a luxurious five-star experience at some of the lowest prices anywhere in the world.  Most hotels here fall at two ends of the spectrum - budget accommodation and luxury hotels. Moderately priced hotels are actually very poor value, and for just a few dollars extra, you can experience complete four- or five-star luxury.

Budget

For budget stay options, the Chinatown area is your best best. For a slightly higher price, you can get a room close to the Golden Triangle where most of Kuala Lumpur’s nightlife, shopping, and entertainment hotspots are located.  Bukit Bintang is also emerging as a budget stay neighborhood (although expat patronage continues to drive up the prices).  Budget hotels in Kuala Lumpur generally offer good value for the money, with some hotels offering perks like free WiFi access to guests.

Moderately Priced Hotels

Mid-range hotels can be found in the city center and near the Golden Triangle area, which should put you in close proximity to most of the attractions.  Very often, the difference in price between a mid-range hotel and a five-star hotel is not as vast as you might think, and it actually makes more sense to upgrade your accommodation for an extra fee.

Five Star Hotels

All the big name chain brands are here in Malaysia’s most cosmopolitan city. These cater to a predominantly corporate clientele, although the season from June to August sees a heavy influx of vacationers from the Middle East.  If you intend to travel to Kuala Lumpur during this time for your medical tourism vacation, remember to book well in advance.
