  • Turkey Becoming Synonymous with Saving Money

Shortages in affordable health care are driving dental patients overseas, where bedside manners, optimal technology solutions, and rock-bottom prices await.  In addition to the low cost and high quality of highly sought after dental procedures like laser teeth whitening, patients find short lines and top quality in places like Turkey, one of Europe’s top dental tourism destinations.

Overview

Although Jerusalem rightfully receives its share of attention, Tel Aviv is actually the nerve center of Israel. The theater scene here is alive and thriving, there are ballet and cultural performances galore, and the Israel Philharmonic delivers masterful concerts whenever it’s in town.  Plus, there are cafes and clubs catering to all tastes.

These differences between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem become even more conspicuous after the sun goes down.  In the Holy City, establishments close for the Sabbath beginning at sundown on Friday evening and continuing through late Saturday evening.  You’ll find no such restrictions in Tel Aviv on your medical tourism holiday.  Jews observe the Sabbath with gaiety here, instead of solemnity – the cafes fill up and the bars become packed.  The Israelis have a line that sums it up perfectly – Jerusalem prays, and Tel Aviv plays.

Cafes

Most nighttime activities in Tel Aviv center around the city’s celebrated café culture.  This is especially evident on Dizengoff Street.  Grab a chair, order a bagel and a Cappuccino, and watch as Tel Aviv comes alive.  As the cinemas, restaurants, and concert halls empty, these cafes (many of which are open until early morning) fill up with locals looking to party.

Bars, Pubs, and Clubs

The city, once an entertainment desert, now attracts clubbers from across Europe.  If you’re looking to shake a leg during your medical tourism holiday, Allenby Street, Dizengoff Street, and the old Tel Aviv port area are the most popular venues.  Other watering holes can be located on the western stretch of Rothschild Boulevard and St. George Street.

Other Entertainment

Tel Aviv is the home of the Israel Philharmonic, counted as one of the ten best orchestras in the world.  You’ll also want to check out the Israel Ballet.  Ticket outlets are located on Dizengoff Street.

Movies

It seems that Tel Aviv has a sweet-spot for cinema.  There are more than 20 theaters in the city, showcasing everything from the latest Hollywood flicks to art-house independent films.  Be sure to arrive early, however.  The seats are almost always full.
