Overview

Tel Aviv has a temperate climate, with not too many extreme variations.  There isn’t really a best time to visit the city, since the warm and sunny weather remains fairly consistent throughout the year.

Winter

Winters begin during the end of November and continue through April.  They tend to be mild affairs that don’t typically bring heavy snowfall.  You might have an occasional rainstorm, but even these are fairly infrequent.  Even when there is a shower, the sun usually comes out quickly, drying everything in a matter of minutes.  In fact, you could even make a trip to the beach on your medical tourism vacation during this season- there are plenty of people here who swim all year round.

Summer

Summer begins in April and continues until November.  The highest temperatures are recorded in July and August.  Although this is peak tourist season in Tel Aviv, you may want to avoid this time for your medical tourism vacation.  Crowds are huge, and prices for everything (accommodations, restaurants, etc) shoot up.

Planning Your Visit

It also helps if you plan your medical tourism vacation around important national holidays and Jewish festivals.  Although you might be tempted to experience Israel at the height of Hanukkah, you’ll be subjected to exorbitant fees and overbooked hotels.  The same goes for restaurants and many tourist attractions.

Which Calendar to Choose?

The Israeli calendar a combination of the Jewish calendar, the Gregorian calendar, and the Moslem Hijri calendar.  As a result, there are countless “national” holidays and festivals, many of them within days of one another.  So, check if there is a major festival coming up before you make travel arrangements.
