  • Turkey Becoming Synonymous with Saving Money

Shortages in affordable health care are driving dental patients overseas, where bedside manners, optimal technology solutions, and rock-bottom prices await.  In addition to the low cost and high quality of highly sought after dental procedures like laser teeth whitening, patients find short lines and top quality in places like Turkey, one of Europe’s top dental tourism destinations.

Overview

Budapest’s climate is greatly influenced by the weather of the TransDanubian region and the Great Plains.  The four main seasons differ substantially in their temperature extremes, and even daily fluctuations can sometimes be dramatic.  There is plenty of rainfall all year round, and you should always travel with an extra jacket or sweater in case there is a sudden dip in temperature.

Seasons

Winter is not really the best time to visit Budapest for your medical tourism vacation.  The weather is extremely cold and is often accompanied by frequent rainfall, making for a very unpleasant experience.  The landscape is really beautiful, however, and parts of the city are dusted with delicate snow.  The snow doesn’t last long; it melts as soon as the sun comes out. Christmas is celebrated with great enthusiasm, especially in the traditional markets, making shopping on your medical tourism vacation a real joy.

Summer begins from June, and continues right up till September.  The days are warm and sunny, with the sun shining brightly for about 10 hours a day (when there are no rain clouds in the sky).  Medical tourism vacationers who suffer from asthma should probability be careful if they visit during this season; pollen levels are high during the summer months. Humidity levels also can be quite high.  Summer tends to be peak season here, and you’ll find restaurants and hotels packed with vacationers from around Europe.  The months of July, September, and October are the busiest, so if you would like to explore the city without too much fuss, go in August when the buzz dies down briefly.  If the city seems unnaturally quiet, then head off to the outlying areas and the mountains.  You won't find a whole lot of traffic in these areas, but the nature sounds and wind will keep you plenty of company.

Springtime (April through June) brings plenty of rain, and autumn tends to be cold and foggy. Rain is a frequent feature all year long in Budapest, so be prepared to travel with an umbrella or poncho no matter when you visit.
