When it comes to accommodations in San Jose, the average medical tourism vacationer has numerous options from which to choose.  There are budget digs that offer basic amenities at shoestring prices.  At the other end, there are the five-star luxury properties that mimic palaces. These usually come in the form of pensions- rooms in private homes that are available for just a few dollars a night. The advantage is that you will be staying in someone’s home, and can enjoy all the perks of genuine local living  Facilities are basic, but comfortable, and may or may not include meals. Private homes tend to be situated in the residential suburbs, and you may be far away from the bustle of the city. 

Luxury Hotels

San Jose has an impressive selection of 5-star hotels in the city center.  Prices can be high during peak season, but you will have access to everything you need, from restaurants to gyms to spa facilities under a single roof.   

Moderately Priced Hotels

For the average medical tourism vacationer, the most sensible choice would be to stay at a moderately priced hotel.   These cover a vast range of accommodation options –beautifully restored historic homes, boutique hotels, comfy bed & breakfast inns, and business hotels with prices ranging from $80 to $150. These hotels offer comfortable accommodation in the city at an affordable price.  You might find exercise rooms and coffee shops on the premises, and in some cases there will even be a pool. With prices and facilities like these, many vacationers and medical tourism travelers choose to set up tent in these dwellings rather than accommodations at the extreme ends of the scale.
