India Has Many Advantages When It Comes to Cosmetic Surgery

Americans are discovering there’s more beauty to be had in the Land of the Taj apart from the architectural.  The number of Americans flying in for cosmetic surgery to India has increased considerably in recent years.

The reasons for India’s rise in the field of medical tourism (and cosmetic surgery in particular) are many. The country has advanced state-of-the-art centers that offer a range of cosmetic procedures at low costs.  Tummy tuck surgery in India for instance can be less than half the cost of a similar surgery performed in Europe or the States.  Such vast differences in cost are always alluring.  Add to this the fact that negative reports are hard to find – the success stories coming out of Indian cosmetic surgeries are increasing day by day.

Stick with Accredited Medical Tourism Centers

According to the Shreveport Times, health leaders from industrialized nations including the United States and United Kingdom have signed a letter supporting the efforts by the World Health Organization to promote patient safety around the world.  This should be of interest to those considering flying abroad for low cost tummy tuck surgeries and other cosmetic or medical procedures.

The Joint Commission International (JCI), which is a branch of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization, currently has 8 accredited hospitals in India.  The JCI is widely regarded as the benchmark for international medical standards.

Whenever you trust your face and body, indeed your health to a physician, it is absolutely imperative that you research and make the best possible judgments regarding your own health and need for cosmetic surgeries to avoid horrendous results.
